The Joint Research Centre of the European Commission started the planning of a collaborative workshop on remote sensing for conservation application. A special geographical focus might be on Africa due to the existing project structure and existing information systems. The location of the workshop will be in Ispra, North Italy and being held in the fourth quarter of 2013.
